Welcome to Pajarito Rabbitry, one of the Southwest's long time breeders for the Lionhead rabbit.
We have owned Lionheads since Spring of 2004 and we have been actively breeding them since the Summer of 2005.
We try to attend at least 4 shows per year, this allows us to compete against other breeders to see how our progress is in the breeding barn. However, there are not that many shows located here in NM, so most of our showing is done out of state.

We have a 52 hole rabbitry that specializes in mostly Lionhead rabbits. We dearly love this little breed due to its curiosity, beauty and unique look. We have enjoyed learning about it and making our dear friends in this hobby because of our little Lions.
We also do breed and show Mini Lops in the Chocolate, Chinchilla, Steel, Orange, Frosty and Tri-Color Varieties.
We have dabbled in other breeds and the current project in our rabbitry is our new Jersey Woolies, we are learning more about this cute yet challenging rabbit with the help of some of our other breeder friends.
Our other breeds are kept relatively small in number so we may concentrate on working with our Lionheads to maximize our contribution.
We may have show and brood bunnies available and on occasion some of our adults may be sold to help start other breeders. We breed our rabbits mainly for our own enjoyment and betterment of the breed. Any sales stock will be rabbits that we would use in some way to contribute to our lines.
We fully support our current COD holder, Teresa Mueller of Prideland's Rabbitry, who has so far passed on her first Presentation with the ARBA Standards Committee in the varieties of Black Tort, Black and Ruby Eyed White (REW) in 2010. Way to go Teresa! Here's to hoping that you can pass again in 2012!

Please feel free to contact us with questions about this amazing breed. We are here to help.
