This is where we will post our links, either of favorite places, other breeders or useful information.
Rabbit breeders (If you would like to be added on our breeder links, please send me an email)-
Rugged Cross Rabbitry, breeding Nationally competitive Mini Lops, Lionheads and Jersey Woolies in southern NM.
Double J Rabbitry, breeding beautiful, competitive Lionheads, Mini Lops, Holland Lops and Mini Rex in central NM.
Red Neck Rabbitry, breeding friendly, beautiful competitive Lionheads, Mini Lops, Jersey Woolies, English Angoras, Polish and Holland Lops in central OK. Pam is helping us get started more seriously with her excellent Jersey Woolies. One of the sweetest ladies I know.
Bastet's Bunnies, a COD holder for Lionheads in the colors of Pointed White (all 4 colors), Ruby Eyed White, Smoked Pearl, Black and Siamese Sable. Breeder of the cutest bunnies, including Fuzzy Lops, Lionheads and Holland Lops. A VERY classy lady!
Pridelands Rabbitry, our current COD holder for the colors Black, Black Tortoise and Ruby Eyed White. Breeder of Nationally competitive Lionheads and also in association with Forget-Me-Not-Rabbitry, as they are also breeders of fabulous Holland Lops. Several of our favorite rabbits throughout our tenure in breeding Lions have come from Theresa and Cheryl, great ladies!
Legendary Farms, again, another person who sold bunnies to us at the beginning. I have serious faith in their breeding program and have previously purchased a bunny from their rabbitry only on the knowledge that it was a Legendary Lionhead. Nationally competitive, ethical breeders.
Hoppins Herd of Hares, Qadoshyah, a super honest, helpful, wonderful breeder of Mini Lops and I have to blame her completely for hooking everyone in our family on these super gentle rabbits.
Rebecca's Rabbitry, Rebecca got us our first out-cross lines for our Mini Lops. We were so happy with the first buck that we bought from her, that we bought another buck and a doe.
Castle Gate Lions- I don't have a link for Lisa's website, however she bears mentioning as she was one of the first people that entertained the idea of sending one of her precious Lions all the way Across the country to a total stranger. She breeds gorgeous, solid rabbits with excellent personalities. She is my bud!
Aslan's Rabbitry-Dan also no longer dabbles in our lovely breed, a huge loss to us for sure! I will never forget the hours he spent with me going over my rabbits and his to "show" me how the bunnies are supposed to feel. His tireless attitude towards all my beginner questions and frustrations, his fabulous sense of humor and his pragmatic outlook to the reality of things in the show world. Hats off to a true gentleman.
Wetzel's Rabbitry- I really do not know if Arden is still breeding Lions, but he was also a huge helper, patient, kind and helpful whenever I sent him emails. I cherish his influence in my herd and respect all that he did for our breed.
DJ's Lionheads- Diane no longer breeds Lions, but we got our 2nd herd buck (and arguably one of our favorites) from her, DJ's Shiloh Bear. Another fabulous person, breeder and huge supporter of the Lionhead breed who is worth mentioning.
Sadie Welsh- Welsh's Honeybuns, no longer breeding our lovely Lionheads but has one of the most incredibly useful sites out there for the beginner breeder. She also has a great genotype calculator on her website, which is in the useful links column too. She was also a trooper and brought back some of our first breeding Lions from Nationals in Ohio in 2005.
MossyPossum Rabbitry- They no longer actively breed Lions, again, another loss to our breed. They do however, breed incredible Mini Rex and Holland Lops. However, the influence that they have had, has created a lasting dynasty for our forward progress and the progress of others.
Cimmaron- Gail has painstakingly put her blood, sweat and tears into the Lionhead breed. She was our most recent COD holder prior to Theresa and one of our past Presidents for our club. Thank you for all your hard work for the Lionhead breed and its future.
